Everything in rsyslog is configurable by rsyslog.conf file.
For receiving the log, below module loading is absolutely mandatory
The first part , i.s the highlighted one is for local and udp and tcp sections for loading modules required for receiving udp and tcp messages.
The server is configurable by the below
@@ indicates the protocol to use is tcp
@indicates the protocol to use is udp
it is possible to use multiple destination and also a combination of protocols such as tcp and udp etc
*.* indicates every messages and send across to the configured servers.
